It is from LangholmCastle that the famous Johnnie Armstrong mounted his daring raid onCarlisle Castle to rescue an equally daring and infamous Kilmont Willie. Whilst their Reiving days are over the town retains many of those Reiver names such as Armstrong Bell Irving Graham Maxwell and Hotson to name but a few these days they welcome visitors to this very special town.
