The 'Master' bedroom boasts a four-poster bed and a single bed if required. We also have three other double bedrooms one family room ( to sleep four with a Jack and Jill Juliet' bathroom) with a connecting room (both rooms have a double bed) and one twin room. The Master bedroom has wheelchair access as does the Twin and Family Room....all rooms being on the ground floor. We can also offer you a 200 year old One Bedroom Cottage 300 yards from the Peacock set in it's own courtyard in Bakewell town centre fully modernised that can sleep up to four people (price quoted is for TWO persons. (one double bedroom) with the additional bed settee in the lounge area. This being a little gem adjacent to the main shopping area bars and restaurants of Bakewell. Weekly rates are available if you phone the Peacock and arrange the rates. Please note the price is for usage of 2 persons extra persons are charged @ £29.00 per person. CHECK IN AT THE COTTAGE IS: 15.00 HOURS SATURDAY and SUNDAYS 13.00 HOURS MONDAY-FRIDAYWe have an excellent head chef who uses good locally sourced food (our meat is supplied from the local Highfield House Farm the vegetables are all cooked fresh) and all our award winning pies are individually homemade using seasonal ingredients creating excellent and yet very affordable food. And we are also very proud that the head chef's experience total over 20 years with numerous awards and certifications in City and Guilds and Best Premises and Cleanliness continually for over 20 years. He is also readily available to discuss any specialities you might fancy on the night of your stay. Since the old stable conversion is a 200-year old building each room is quite distinctive and have exposed beams and stonework while the building itself has many charming nooks and crannies and as it is separate to the pub you will have exclusive separate accommodation to the pub itself!Our bar is a great meeting place and we have a comfortably furnished dining area offering varied menu with a wide range of specials. The many attractions of the Peak District are within easy reach as is Alton Towers.
