The Lion is located at the foot of the Peak District in the historic market town of Belper halfway between Derby and Matlock on the A6. The Lion Pub with Rooms offers a very warm and friendly welcome. The pub has 22 bedrooms a recently refurbished bustling pub and dining area. In addition there is free wifi and car parking for guests. The bedrooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated all ensuite with all modern facilities to ensure your stay is an enjoyable experience. This includes digital TV Wi-Fi iron ironing board hairdryer telephone teacoffee facilities all rooms are non-smoking. Bedrooms are available from 2pm. Should guests arrive earlier staff are more than happy to look after any luggage you may have and have this taken to your room ready for your check in. We ask guests to leave by 11am but will always try to accommodate a guest needing a late departure.
