Sheedy’s is a great base for exploring the Burren whether you just want to enjoy the unique landscape or if you want to get a little more active. Martina will be able to give expert advice on golf (Lahinch and Doonbeg golfcourses are nearby), surfing in Lahinch and Fanore, accessible hikes, walks and cycling trails. As keen walkers themselves, John and Martina are delighted to share their local knowledge with guests and provide maps and walking sticks and they also have a lock up shed for bikes.

The Spectacle Bridge (3 km) - The bridge spans a deep narrow gorge through which the Aille River flows. As it had to support the road at the top, a double arch forming a circular opening was built above the lower arch, giving the bridge its unusual and unique 'spectacle' appearance.

The Cliffs of Mohar (6 km) - These majestic cliffs rise from the Atlantic to a height of nearly 200 metres and extend for a distance of 8 km from Hag's Head to beyond O'Brien's Tower.
