There is excellent deep-sea fishing and great angling to be had inland on Blackwater River and on Lough Mahon which is well stocked with rainbow trout. Also there is shore fishing at Tinaberna and morriscastle beach.For golfers we are the ideal location with more than seven outstanding courses with 40 minutes drive while some are only minutes away for example Blackwater golf course.
