Ray and Jan welcome you to their home in this beautiful Ceredigion valley. Ty Haf (Welsh for Summer House) is a delightful self-contained building set in a quarter of an acre of garden overlooking the Aeron Valley. It was built in 2008 as guest accommodation in the grounds of Tyglyn Lodge for family and friends to stay in peace and tranquillity yet within 30 yards of the house. Red Kites are regularly seen from the garden and garden birds are in abundance throughout the year. Breakfast is served in the main house. Choose from Continental Full Welsh Breakfast with local produce or Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Egg. Use of Swim SpaSwimming Pool heated to 32.5 degrees all year round (chargeable). Please note we cannot take credit cards. Payment in cash please.In the Ty Haf garden there is a Swim Spa which is available for the use of guests(chargeable). The Swim Spa is a wonderful mix of swim and hot tub heated to at least 32 degrees to allow users to enjoy an energetic swim against jet streams similar to river or sea swimming and then to relax in one of the hydrotherapy spa seats to unwind. What more could you want after a day exploring the West Wales countryside pretty local towns and villages. (Or just as exhilarating take a dip before breakfast!)The property is situated just outside the village of Ciliau Aeron about half a mile off the main road with Aberaeron just 4 miles away and Lampeter 9 miles. There are two hotels with restaurants in reasonable walking distance (Ty Mawr Mansion top class cuisine and fine dining Ty Glyn Hotel good quality and reasonable choice. Harbour Master Hotel The Hive and The Cellar are just three great options in Aberaeron).Ty Haf is a no smoking property but smokers can use the garden. No dogs please. Our property is not suitable for children of any age.Access is along level slated garden paths which would not be suited to wheel chair users. Beechwood is a four star B and B conveniently situated between Aberaeron and New Quay in the small village of Llanarth. Very tastefully furnished to a high standard you will have a true Welsh welcome from the proprietors Margaret and Caradog. Wireless broadband is available in the house. Breakfast is served with local bacon and sausage and there is ample off road parking in the rear of the property.Beechwood has three comfortable double bedrooms two ensuite and a family bedroom with a double and a single bed - all with TV and Tea and coffee making facilities - two of them are shown below.At the rear there is a spacious landscaped patio with garden furniture for the benefit of the guests. The village shops are a short walk from Beechwood as is the popular Llanina Arms Pub and Restaurant.The pleasant Regency town of Aberaeron with its picturesque harbour is just 6 miles to the north while the popular resort of New Quay is just two miles away with its Dylan Thomas Trail . Dylan stayed in New Quay and based several characters in Under Milk Wood on local residents at the time. The film about Dylan Thomas 'The Edge of Love' with Kiera Knightly and Sienna Miller was shot on location in New Quay in 2007.Llanarth is more or less midway between Cardigan Town in the south and Aberystwyth in the north. Both towns have busy shopping centres and are about a half hour's drive away.
