In the heart of Arundel's conservation area is the Norfolk Arms Hotel a former Georgian coaching inn completed in 1780. Unspoilt the hotel combines the period features of the Georgian era with the requirements of today's visitors. Within the hotel are log fires bars serving real ales and for entertaining on a greater scale the magnificent mirrored ballroom. Most of our rooms which vary in size and character are situated in the main house whilst ground floor rooms are available in our courtyard.The stunning sight of Arundel Castle the ancestral home to the Dukes of Norfolk for over 800 years dominates the historic market town which through the ages has developed into a small but unique town from its cobbled streets specialist shops and beautiful Georgian architecture to the Gothic Cathedral. Situated in the heart of Arundel on the High Street close to the River Arun the Swan Hotel is a Grade II listed Victorian property dating back to 1759 though a refurbishment in May 2012 has completely transformed the building. It combines traditional comforts with the facilities of a modern hotel with a warm welcoming atmosphere friendly staff good freshly prepared home cooked food fine Fullers real ales and a good selection of wines as well as free Wi-Fi. The Swan Hotel has become the meeting place in the town for locals and visitors alike. Although the Hotel does not have on-site parking it is located very close to a public pay and display car park charging reasonable rates during the day and is free of charge overnight between the hours of 1800 to 0800. Also around the town there are some free parking facilities and other alternative car parks all within walking distance. We are also proud to say we are pet friendly and have allocated a number of our 14 rooms where we will gladly accommodate well behaved dogs at an extra charge of £10 per dog per room per night.
