Moorlands Country House is situated below Haytor Rocks one of the best known landmarks of Dartmoor National Park. Its setting on the wild open spaces of Dartmoor was the inspiration for Agatha Christie's first book The Mysterious Affair at Styles. The house is designated as non-smoking with 32 bedrooms looking out over the rolling Devon countryside and the eight acres of ground where guests can also enjoy a game of croquet. The bedrooms are equipped with a hairdryer clock radio and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. Flatscreen TVs are provided in the bedrooms. Guests can relax in the lounge with its bar or play table tennis in the games room.Accommodation through LateRooms is on a BandB basis. A choice of full English or continental breakfast is offered.
