Should we call it reality tourism?The Main house is from the 19th century and rebuilt in the 1990.This was a neat local home which had almost fallen into ruins. It was restored and amplified with tree bed rooms and luxury living areas. It is decorated with a mixture of Portuguese style and inspirations and artifacts from the owner's life in Norway India and in the Middle East. The guests are free to use the kitchen. In addition you find the garden cottage a small house for the couple loving their privacy.There are several good local restaurants and bars near the house.Try the fish specialties and do not forget the local vine. The typical Madeira vine can be a bit strong so be careful with the number of glasses. The name Casa das Videiras is named after the vine plant.
