Windmill Hill Lodge C1875 was built by the Green family and is located among some of Launceston's most gracious and stately properties in a National Trust Classified precinct. It has been furnished in Victorian period style and walking through the grand old front door into the hallway is like stepping back in time. The house is kept as much as possible as a period property but as a Bed and Breakfast it also boasts all modern amenities. All rooms have ensuites refrigerators and tea and coffee making facilities. Several of our rooms are self catering which is handy for families and those who prefer to look after their own meals.Our heritage rooms are spacious airy and give one a feeling of living in the Victorian era. Breakfast both buffet and cooked is served in our spacious dining room. We pride ourselves on the quality and variety of our breakfasts. We make all our own breads jams muffins stewed fruits yoghurt creamed rice bircher muesli porridge and more daily. In addition we offer freshly ground coffees juices cereals and fresh fruit.WESLEYAN CHAPEL NOT AT WINDMILL HILL LODGE but is situated at 28 Russell Street in the heritage listed village of Evandale which is only FOUR minutes from Launceston airport and an easy fifteen minute drive from Launceston City Centre .The chapel was built in 1836 by the Wesleyan community. It has also been a Druids hall and the local community hall. It has recently been totally refurbished and has all conveniences necessary for a comfortable stay including full kitchen queen size bed and double sofa bed in an open plan area a sitting and dining area TV laundry facilities and an outside dining area also.The whole property is yours and yours alone while you are staying. A home made breakfast pack with home made breads jams muffins juices and more is included in the tariff.
