As a 'centre of excellence' for fishing The Roxburghe Estate has four fishing beats on the River Tweed and River Teviot - renowned for some of the best salmon fishing in Scotland.

The Roxburghe specialised in clay pigeon shooting. Administered by Alistair Ferguson (CPSA Senior Instructor in Sporting, Skeet and Traps), our shooting school offers many different disciplines ranging from driven grouse to springing teal and high pheasant.

As a 'centre of excellent' the Roxburghe will introduce novices to the art of clay shooting while the enthusiast can enjoy lessons tailored to their own levels of shooting knowledge and experience.

The Duke of Roxburghe, an avid golfer, commissioned Dave Thomas to build this challenging course on his estate which was opened in 1997.
