Our family home is in a quiet location in the busy village of Grassington but is just two minutes walk from the village square. Historical Ling House is nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in the village of Threshfield. Just a 20 minute walk from the village of Grassington and close by to the Dales Way and the Cycle Way. Over four centuries ago a Scottish moss-trooper (Jamie Ibbotson) settled and built Ling House and his descendants have lived in it ever since. The family made Threshfield famous for making besoms and horse dealing. Making the besoms from ling gathered from the moor and then delivering them all around the dales using their horses and carts.
