The Houblon Inn is one of the oldest hostelries in the county situated in the picturesque and scenic village of Oasby.This Grade II listed building was built around 1650 and was originally named 'the Old Red Lion' however was later renamed after Sir John Houblon one of the main landowners in the area and the first governor of the Bank of England (His picture can be seen on the reverse of the £50 note!).With original oak beams and stone walls this inn has been restored beautifully and many of the original features remain.Our accomodation block provides a comfortable relaxing stay for our guests. We have 4 letting rooms available: 3 x Twin Rooms 1 x Double. All our cosy rooms are with en-suite tea and coffee making facilities and television.

The Tally Ho Inn is believed to have been built around 1750 and was originally a working farm and the Estate Manager's House to the Aswarby Estate who still own the freehold to this day. It is also believed that the building did not become an inn until after the Second World War in 1945. The former stables barn and dairy were converted in 1982 to our six letting rooms all en-suite.Our converted stables now provide a comfortable relaxing stay for our guests. We have 6 letting rooms available: 3 x Twin Rooms 2 x Double Rooms and 1 x King Size Room. All our cosy rooms are with en-suite tea and coffee making facilities and television. The current Chef Proprietor John Blenkiron prides himself on the quality of the fine pub food served. He has deliberately sought to purchase from local suppliers wherever possible.Our location on the side of a main road provides obvious benefits for those visiting family and friends or guests on a business trip who are just passing through and require a warm bed for the night and the rooms are set back from the road so traffic noise is fairly non-existent.
